Overview


Large welding equipment, cranes, frequency converters, and other nonlinear loads requires real-time acquisition of a large amount of reactive power from the grid, resulting in increasing serious voltage fluctuations and flicker phenomena on the power grid, which has adverse effects on other equipment and control devices in the system.


The low-voltage dynamic reactive power compensation device is a power electric system based on DSP control, which can perform real-time reactive power compensation to improve system power factor, stabilize system voltage and reduce voltage flicker.



Application


The devices are mainly used in nonlinear loads such as large welding equipment, cranes and frequency converters which need to get a large amount of reactive power from grid in real-time. The rapid change in reactive power demand in industries such as new energy vehicles and integrated circuits has caused severe flicker, requiring rapid reactive power compensation.



The device consists of Lafaelt capacitor bank, detuned reactors, power factor controllers, circuit breakers, fuses, contractors, lightning arresters, temperature controllers, fans, voltage ammeters, current transformer cabinets and other accessories


Reasonable arrangement: the capacitors is placed below the reactors to prevent them from being affected by the reactors' heating and extend their service lift


Three-phase four-wire dynamic compensation control system, the dynamic response time is 5ms, compensate changeable reactive power rapidly


Multiple tuning frequencies can be selected to suppress 3rd, 5th or 7th harmonics, to protect the capacitors and prevent system resonance


Zero-crossing switching prevent voltage flicker caused by reactive power effectively

Remark: when the reactive power compensation cabinet is a mixed compensation cabinet, in order to ensure heat dissipation, it is recommended to divide the single cabinet with capacity over 350kvar into main and auxiliary cabinets.

Series connected 14% filter reactor with split-phase compensation, the model is LRTS525-300/11-14、LRTS525-480/20-14 main and auxiliary cabinets.
