Overview


Sscap intelligent combination low-voltage shunt capacitor (intelligent capacitor for short) is an independent and complete intelligent compensation unit composed of intelligent measurement and control unit, intelligent zero-crossing switching relay, intelligent protective unit and two (△ type) or one (Y type) low-voltage self-healing capacitor. It replaces the automatic reactive compensation device assembled by reactive controller, fuse (or micro break), thyristor composite switch (or contractor), thermal relay, indicator light, low-voltage power capacitor and other discretes. 


This product can be used either as a single unit or as a compensation system composed of multiple networking nuits. Both three-phase compensation and three-phase and split phase hybrid compensation are available. It has changed the bulky and heavy structure mode of traditional reactive power compensation devices, thus enabling the new generation of low-voltage reactive power compensation devices to have the features of better compensation effects, smaller size, lower power consumption, cheaper price, more cost saving, more flexible use, more convenient maintenance, longer service life and higher reliability, adapting to the higher requirements of modern grid to the reactive power compensation.


Product Features

Zero Crossing Switching

The zero-crossing switching function realizes zero-voltage switching and zero-current switching by the core device intelligent zero-crossing relay, to reduce system power consumption. Therefore, the process of capacitor switching has no inrush impact, no cutting overvoltage and no arcing phenomenon.

Protective Function

The intelligent capacitor has the function of over-voltage under-voltage no-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection and others, which effectively ensure capacitor safety and extend device life. By setting temperature protection inside the low-voltage power capacitor, when the temperature inside the capacitor exceeds the value, it will exit operation, thus extending the service life of the capacitor.

Smart Network Function

The intelligent capacitor can operate as a self-contained system to achieve automatic compensation for low-voltage reactive power. It adopts smart network technology to build a 485 communication network, with multiple capacitors used in parallel, it automatically generates a network.

Faults Self-diagnosis

It is convenient to rapid fault location by real-time detection of the operation status of the components such as zero-crossing switches, circuit breakers, capacitors inside the intelligent capacitor, and real-time prompts on the display, thus realizing the maintenance-free.

Easy to Wire

Multiple capacitor screens installed assembly, reducing production hours by more than 60% compared to the traditional modes, while reducing connection lines by 80% and nodes by 80%. The cabinet is simple and can be assembled on site, which not only reducing the production hours but also greatly improve the efficiency of the complete plant. 

Modular Structure

The standardization and modularization of the products replace the traditional air switches, AC contractors, thyristors, thermal relays and capacitors, and integrate their functions into a whole, with low heat generation. 

Convenient to Maintenance

The LCD displays the types of protection action, including phase loss, over-current, over-temperature, three-phase imbalance and harmonics, etc.  When the capacitor is damaged, it only needs to replace the single unit to achieve free maintenance.
